About
Hello! My name is Julianne Borst and I am a multimedia artist from Downingtown, PA. I am a recent graduate who received my B.A. in Art Therapy and a Certificate in Creative Entrepreneurship from Temple University's Tyler School of Art and Architecture. I do not define myself by a singular medium, as I truly find joy and comfort working with many creative materials that happen to spark my interest. As of late, the mediums of fiber arts, ceramics, and digital illustration have peaked my curiosity.
Most recently, I work at Fleisher Art Memorial in Philadelphia as an assistant teaching artist. In the past, I interned for Mural Arts Philadelphia, where I worked for their Artrepreneur after school art program. Additionally, during my past two years of college, I was extremely dedicated as a volunteer peer mentor for Temple's University Studies program, which helps undeclared underclassmen find the right fit for their major.

At its core, my passion for art and mental health stems from the love of creativity and appreciating the process versus the product of both art-making and healing. I believe that my own experience with anxiety throughout my life has helped make me particularly sensitive when trying to meet people where they're at. As a person with a therapeutic art lens, I firmly trust that art has the ability to help people of all ages cope with difficult feelings and life events. At this new stage of my life, I plan on continuing my journey of empowering myself and others through the act of creating.
